ZWILLINGE
PROJECT TYPE
Writing, Editorial Design

Zwillinge [german; Twins], is a short history book written for educational purposes. It describes a Nazi doctor who was performing horrific medical experiments on Jewish prisoners and very young children; especially twins. His name was Dr. Josef Mengele, also known as “Angel of Death.”
The goal was to create a visually striking book that will keep the reader intrigued and absorbed in. Instead of using blood resembling red tones that are normally chosen for these type of topics, I choose to use more modern, magenta tones.
To properly express the severity of the crimes and the agony of the people affected, I used black and white photographs and bright magenta elements, creating high contrasting gruesome images.
